Where Summer Still Waits

24 × 18 | Acrylic on Canvas

There are places that never really leave us.

Fields where the grasses have grown taller with each passing season. A weathered tire swing, now quiet beneath an old branch. Wildflowers reclaiming the spaces where laughter once echoed.

Time has moved on, yet something remains.

This painting is an invitation to return—not to a place exactly as it was, but to the feeling it left within us. It reminds us that the moments which shape our hearts are never truly lost. They continue to live quietly beneath the surface, waiting to be rediscovered.

Sometimes all it takes is a familiar breeze, the warmth of evening light, or the sight of an old tire swing to remember that the wonder of childhood never disappeared.

It was simply waiting for us to come back.
