"Warrior Spirit is the first painting in my new abstract series, "More Than Conquerers!" Each painting begins with the same light modeling paste composition being applied before the more intuitive painting commences. The underlying texture pattern tells the story of one becoming overcome by darkness and trials, but having the Spirit rise up within and lift you back onto your path of purpose, while simultaneously conquoring that which was standing in the way!
 
I love painting the beauty of creation. I love attempting to personify nature is some of my work. But the freedom of painting intuitively over a textured "story" of overcoming, absolutely feeds my soul!
