Acrylic on 10x20 Canvas

Like this weathered, washed up boat. Alone on the shore. Stuck. Useless. Unnoticed.

Noticing the vague outline of a city in the distance - pondering what it would be like to once again be a part of the crowd. Trying. Can't figure out how to connect. That's okay. It's so much safer and more peaceful alone here on the shore.

Here...I am accepted.

Here...I belong.

Here...alone - but safe on the shore.

The Safety of Shore

"When I stand before God the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, I used everything you gave me."
