Turning

Acrylic on 10x20

Turning reflects the moment when movement begins to take direction—the subtle shift from something felt into something more defined.

The composition carries a sense of inward motion, as forms curve and fold into themselves before extending outward again. There is tension here, but not resistance—more like a quiet reorientation. A change in direction that happens gradually, almost without notice.

This piece speaks to the space where we begin to recognize that something within us is shifting—not fully formed, not yet clear, but no longer the same as it was. It is the in-between moment, where what once was begins to loosen, and something new starts to take shape.

Part of the “Where Feeling Begins” series

This piece is one of three connected works exploring the stages of inner movement—Stirring, Turning, and Opening. Each can stand alone, but together they form a continuous visual experience of something unfolding.
