"Resurgence" is the fourth painting in my new abstract series, "More Than Conquerors!" Each painting begins with the same light modeling paste composition being applied before the more intuitive layers of color are added. The repeated underlying texture composition tells the story of one becoming overwhelmed by darkness and trials, but having the Spirit rise up within and lift them back onto their path of purpose - while simultaneously conquering what blocking the way!
 
I love painting the beauty of creation. I love attempting to personify nature is some of my work. But the freedom of painting intuitively over a textured "story" of overcoming, absolutely feeds my soul!
