I don't know about you, but for me...
Whatever emotions emerge "in the moment," tend to cloud how I look at the present reality. I have to remember to change the lens every now and then, so I can see things more clearly. Practicing the pause and praying, allow me to breath and gain some needed perspective and clarity. I am so grateful for these grace-filled opportunities. An invitation stop, breath and reflect.
 
This piece was originally created and titled "No More Shame," I now see it completely fitting the above reflection and it paintings could be retitled, I'd call this one "Change the Lens." The main subject seems downcast. Emotions seem to be clouding its lens on life. Only capable of seeing the clouds and darkness. The one is the back is looking beyond the obvious circumstances with hope and focusing on the light breaking through!

Have you ever messed up so many times - or so badly - that the overwhelming feelings of shame had you convinced that restoration and redemption were impossible! Thank goodness that we have an intercessor who releases us from guilt and shame, and allows us to lift our heads with grace and dignity - to once face the Light!)
