The proverb is “Nana korobi, ya oki” which means “Fall down seven times, stand up eight.” It means choosing to never give up hope, and to always strive for more. It means that your focus isn’t on the reality in front of you, but on a greater vision that may not be reality yet.
 
We like to believe that once we begin living in the light, life will be perfect and void of hardships. Wisdom teaches us that in this world, there WILL be trouble. Faith teaches us that, this world… we’ll overcome. Standing strong; losing strength; falling; staying tenacious; getting back up; standing stronger than when your journey started…
If we tenaciously abide in the Spirit, we will forever be, overcomers.
