A Guiding Light
24" × 18" | Acrylic & Oil Pastel on Stretched Canvas
No storm lasts forever.
There are seasons when the waves feel relentless, the sky grows dark, and the shoreline seems impossible to find. In those moments, it can be tempting to focus on the wind, the uncertainty, or the distance still left to travel.
But there is another choice.
Lift your eyes.
A lighthouse never calms the sea. It doesn't remove the rocks or stop the storm. It simply stands, unwavering, sending its light into the darkness again and again. Its purpose is not to eliminate the struggle, but to faithfully guide those willing to follow its beam.
This painting is a reminder that hope is often found not in changing our circumstances, but in changing where we place our focus.
No matter how turbulent the waters become, there is still a Light that reaches into the storm, illuminating the next step, offering direction, and faithfully leading us toward safe harbor.
