From broken and lost to purpose and identity, my art is a visual diary of reinventing myself and rebuilding my life. As a mostly self-taught artist based in Chicago, my journey with art began in early childhood, but it wasn’t until a life-altering illness left me bedridden that my passion was reignited. Through various phases of artistic expression, I have found a path of healing and transformation that continues to shape my work and purpose.

I am deeply inspired by the beauty of natural creation and the rhythms and transformations found in the natural world. These patterns so beautifully mirror human experience and emotion, drawing me to explore the play between darkness and light within my compositions. Focusing on the intricate details of nature invites both myself and viewers to pause, reflect, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the gifts of beauty surrounding us.

My work is an ongoing conversation with nature’s cycles, reflecting the ebb and flow of life itself. This connection to the natural world not only guides my choice of subject matter but also fuels the emotional core of my pieces. I believe that embracing the contrasts and harmonies found in creation reveals universal stories of resilience and hope.

Since founding Created to Create Studios, LLC in 2018, I have been honored to share my award-winning art in galleries, fine art festivals, and exhibitions locally and nationally. Beyond creating, I am passionate about extending the healing benefits of creativity to others through my healing arts ministry. I see my childhood dream of being an artist as a foreshadowing of this current calling, imagining my younger self jumping for joy at the realization of this purpose.
